What We Offer
What We Offer
Empowering Reentry Through Care
Free housing and support for formerly incarcerated and at-risk individuals in Watts, LA—helping them heal, stabilize, and reintegrate.
Our Services
Empowering Reentry with Care and Support
We offer housing and wraparound services that help justice-impacted individuals heal, grow, and rebuild their lives with dignity.
Housing Empowerment Program (HEP)
Our core program offers 6 to 12 months of free transitional housing in a supportive, structured setting. Residents live in a safe space where they can stabilize and rebuild without the immediate pressures of housing insecurity. The program includes access to life-enriching services like wellness care, employment readiness, and community building—empowering individuals to move forward with dignity and direction.
Rental Assistance
Our Rental Assistance program is designed to prevent homelessness and housing disruption by offering short-term financial support to individuals transitioning into or maintaining stable housing. We assist with security deposits, first and last month’s rent, overdue payments, and emergency rental needs—helping residents avoid eviction or housing instability. In addition to financial help, we guide residents through the rental process, offering education on lease agreements, budgeting, and tenant rights.
Case Management
Residents are partnered with a professional case manager who creates an individualized reentry plan. This includes goal setting, progress tracking, referrals to partner services, and support in key areas like employment, education, mental health, legal aid, and public benefits. Case managers also advocate for each resident’s rights and needs, ensuring they are never navigating systems alone.
Mental Health Support
Emotional well-being is essential to a successful and sustainable reentry. At Liddo Grannies Touch, we provide trauma-informed mental health services tailored to the unique experiences of justice-impacted and housing-insecure individuals. Our offerings include one-on-one therapy sessions with licensed professionals, group counseling, peer-led healing circles, and stress management workshops. Residents also gain access to mindfulness practices, art-based therapy, grief and loss support, and substance recovery groups where needed.
Peer Support & Community Engagement
We create a sense of belonging through structured peer mentorship, resident circles, alumni connections, and neighborhood outreach. These programs reduce isolation, foster trust, and encourage healing through shared experiences. Community events and volunteer opportunities further build residents’ sense of identity, purpose, and place in the world.
Job Readiness & Life Skills Training
We equip participants with the tools they need to become job-ready and self-sufficient. Training includes resume building, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, digital literacy, and time management. Life skills workshops cover essential everyday competencies like financial planning, cooking, communication, and stress management—ensuring our residents leave prepared for both work and life.
Education & Reentry Resources
We provide residents with resources to continue their education or complete unfinished schooling. This includes GED preparation, college and vocational school referrals, and access to digital learning tools. We also offer workshops on navigating reentry—from understanding legal rights to accessing public benefits. Residents can access GED preparation courses, literacy support, and referrals to community colleges, trade schools, and certificate programs.
Housing Navigation
We assist residents in securing long-term, affordable housing after they transition out of our program. Housing navigators work one-on-one with each participant to find appropriate rental options, fill out applications, secure necessary documents, and communicate with landlords or housing programs. We stay involved until stable housing is secured—removing barriers to permanent reentry success.
